Everything Was Right....

5.12.16

Water Temp 77 degrees.

After having no success last weekend when Hunter was in town, we decided to get after it again and prove that bad luck was due to the extremely high tides.

Today we got up early and hit the water before the sun got too high.
The tide was a gentle outgoing and the wind was just enough.
Everything worked as 16 trout and two reds made it to the tin boat.
Evidence is in this video.

Nancy+Seacraft=Redfish

5.4.16

water temp 80 degrees

We got the Seacraft out on a day when the tides raged and the wind blew hard.

We could only snuggle up in creeks as the main water was white capped and dirty from all the commotion wind and big tides create.

I managed to net a couple mullet figuring that a nice redfish might eat some cut mullet and they did.

While trying out our new rod holders Nancy's rod lit up and after a tremendous battle landed this one inch over the limit redfish.

She got on board again with a toothy, jaw snapping blue fish.

Then this 8 lb. 29" beast gave her a workout.

The water has hit 80 degrees and we have been blessed that no sharks have come boat side yet!

Big O Video Updates

I finally got around to editing some video the Cube shot on the last day of our short trip to Lake Okeechobee.

Basically it is Doug kicking our asses and seining the water so poor Hunter couldn't find one that wasn't sore mouthed.
